Yesterday, we gave Sadie a toy catalogue to look at in the car while we drove to do some errands. She looked at it happily for a bit and then we started to hear some whines of frustration. When we asked her what was wrong, she shrieked, "I can't read!"

That is so funny! I can only imagine that she will be reading earlier than her Dad did. Auntie Kara will have to tell her that she knows how to point at what she wants! This is going to be a fun birthday/holiday season with her.

Come on, Ann. There's only 5 1/2 weeks until Sadie turns 3 years old. That was the over and under for when we all thought Sadie would begin to read!!!!!!!!
I told this story in my Child Development seminar this afternoon. Everyone thought it was really cute - and quite age appropriate :)
