Last Day of Gym

When we arrived at toddler gym this past Friday, we were disappointed to see a sign that read "Today is the last day of Tot Lot for the season. Happy Spring! See you again the Fall!" I knew the gym was a seasonal activity, but I hoped that we had a few more weeks, especially since it was snowing hard on Friday and it certainly won't be warm enough to play outside by next Friday.

Working together to stack foam balance beams on top of little wheeled trollies (not a very safe idea):

Just a cute picture of Sadie:

(pardon my knee at the bottom of the picture...she was sitting at my feet, taking off her snowboots).

Next Friday, we'll have to do the Montshire, or Norwich Library Story Lunchtime.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Last Sunday was not only Easter, it was Dan's birthday. We celebrated at Nana and Bob-Bob's house with a cake and balloons. Sadie loved helping Daddy blow out the candles.

Sadie and I love you so much...happy birthday Daddy/Dan!

Ready to Hunt

We had a fun and busy Easter weekend at Nana and Bob-Bob's house this weekend. Sadie loved all the attention from Nana, Bob-Bob, Auntie Lolly, James, Auntie Kara and Kyle. She got a little overly sugared up a couple of times, but it was a great time overall.

There is a ton of snow at Nana and Bob-Bob's house, so we had to do an indoor egg hunt. Sadie had a great time finding all her eggs and seeing what was inside...m & m's, jelly beans, stickers, little plastic toys and pennies.

Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit Sadie last weekend. We had a great time with them...yummy meals, fun times together and swimming at the hotel pool. One highlight was visiting the local bowling alley on Saturday. We hadn't been before, but it was a lot of fun and Sadie had a great time.

They have bowling shoes in tiny sizes...Sadie loved wearing hers!
She also really liked seeing her orange ball pop back up at our end of the alley.

One really cool thing were the bumpers on the alleys. They are automatic fences to keep the balls from going into the gutters, and you program the computer to put them up for certain players and go down for others. Sadie played with the bumpers and managed a solid lead for a while, until Grandpa came from behind to win.

(Public service announcement: We think you should avoid this bowling alley at night. Dan's co-workers went to bowl that very night, one person's purse was stolen...Inside her purse were her car keys. The thief beeped the keychain, located her car, stole it as well and drove away. The car was recovered the next day, with purse inside it, but of course, all the cash and credit cards were taken. So, we recommend Lanes and Games for daytime bowling only!)

Special Visitors

Jenny and Andy came to visit Sadie two weekends ago. We had a great time seeing them! We did lots of fun Upper Valley stuff, including Ramunto's, Dartmouth basketball, breakfast at the Farmer's Diner, the Montshire Museum, and breakfast at Lou's.

Thanks for coming to see us! We'll see you in NYC next month.

25% Irish...

(Sadie's selection of green clothes was minimal...this Dartmouth t-shirt had to suffice. Luckily, Nana had provided the shamrock tiara and we had the green beads already.)

Obsessed with Pizza Making

When I told Sadie that her friend Katie was coming over for lunch and a playdate, I asked her what would be fun to do. Her first suggestion was to make english muffin pizzas! So we did...

We also made macaroni necklaces, wore costumes, stuck stickers on rocks (Sadie loves to do this...I am not sure why) and read stories. It was a fun playdate.

Last Disney Picture

Dan and I got a kick out of seeing the Presidential Turkeys. Each year, the turkeys that the President pardons on Thanksgiving get sent to Disneyworld, where they can live out their lives at the Animal Kingdom.

I haven't taken many pics lately, but I will get some new ones up very soon!
