I think they both look relieved!

Busy, busy!
It's been a busy week while Mommy's on vacation. Lots of fun with friends.
Thursday night, Laurie, Christopher and Aili came over for dinner. It's nice to know that someday, Sadie will start to enjoy more of her many toys. Three year old Aili affirmed that they were indeed fun toys and showed Sadie how to play with them. Sadie responded by drooling.
On Friday, we had a playdate at the Montshire Museum of Science with Holly and Ayla. Sadie looked around at everything. Ayla showed her all the fun things for babies, especially the moose! I think we'll be joining the Montshire this summer just as Sadie gets old enough to play with the interactive baby exhibits and enjoy the outdoor fountains.
And today we had friends come for brunch. Dustin and Katy met Sadie for the first time and Sadie had a terrific time playing with Katy. She also loved the big stuffed doggie that Dustin and Katy brought her. Hard to believe, but pretty soon, Sadie will be bigger than the doggie, rather than the other way around. Adam stopped by too, so we got to see the entire family, even though it was Holly and Ayla yesterday and Adam today.
And now we're relaxing at home...Sadie has discovered that you can put the toys from the playgym in your mouth. This is endlessly interesting.

Sadie, Piglet in the City
Sadie made her first trip to NYC to visit her Grandma and Grandpa this past weekend. She got to check out The Gates - as we passed under each one, she followed the flowing orange fabric with her eyes (well, for the short time that she was awake). I guess we can say that Sadie is a modern art lover.
She also got to meet her Aunt Lisa and family for the first time, and saw Great-Grandma Bev for the first time since she was one day old. Everyone loved her smiles!
Sadie told me the best part of her trip was when she got to play with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went out on a date. ;-)
We'll have an Ofoto album later with lots of pics, so stay tuned.

We're off to see the Gates
Dan, Sadie and I will be leaving NH shortly and heading to NYC for the weekend. I'm really looking forward to showing Sadie the big city where her mommy grew up and letting her New York grandparents have the chance to enjoy her without making the big drive up to see us. We're also looking forward to seeing the Gates in Central Park.
Sadie is now 11 weeks, 1 day old. She can do the following things:
Smile
Squeal
Push up with her arms when on her tummy
Roll over when she is on her tummy (only a few times so far!)
Make a click sound like in the African languages that have glottal click (ex: Xhosa!)
Make the hard "g" sound and produce the following "words": egg, goo, ga, aaagh
Cry
Eat
Make dirty diapers
Stick hand/wrist into her mouth
Sleep 6+ hours at night
Sneeze
Cough
Kick her legs
Hold onto a toy for a short time
Be extremely cute, cuddly and lovable!

Famous Sadie...
While at the beer fest last month, Sadie attracted a lot of attention. The brewers at Offshore Ale especially liked her Baby Bjorn decorated with a Offshore sticker.

Happy Valentines Day!
You might think Sadie's shirt is cheesy, but you probably don't have a baby if you do. I love it!
Sadie says "happy birthday Auntie Kara"! Or at least that's what we think "gah!" means!
